In traditional Chinese medicine, suction cups are often applied to the surface of the body at certain points, sometimes in conjunction with acupuncture and/or acupressure.

Traditional suction cups are made of glass, and are heated before being placed on the body. As the air inside a glass cup cools, it contracts. This contraction creates suction which practitioners believe has therapeutic effects.

While the medicinal purposes of these cups may be a mystery to us, their sensual applications are not. When used on the nipples and other sensitive areas of the body, the physical sensations created can be quite stimulating.

This modern version of the cupping set includes 10 plastic cups and a pump to produce the suction. (The cups work best on moistened skin.)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please work slowly when using this item. Excessive suction can cause breaks in capillary blood vessels, resulting in a hickey-like bruise. Other minor changes in the skin can occur as well.
